Stereolithography Material Specifications
Today’s manufacturers and product designers demand fast turnaround of quality parts to remain competitive and effectively bring new products to market. But beyond speed and efficiency, effective prototyping and product development require expertise with leading processes and materials, and innovative solutions that match the unique needs of each client and individual project.
Our SLA capabilities include an ever-expanding selection of materials ranging from low-durometer, flexible materials to rigid, high-temperature ceramic-filled resins. Our valuable relationship with DSM Somos® allows us to offer the latest available materials.
SLS prototypes can be constructed with a variety of functional materials, including nylon, glass-filled nylon and aluminum-filled nylon. For cast urethanes, we work with several suppliers, giving us access to the materials that work best for unique customer requirements. The final product can simulate production plastics such as ABS, polyethylene and polypropylene.

Somos 8110
This material is particularly useful in applications where flexibility and impact-strength are critical requirements.

Somos 10122
DSM Somos® WaterClear Ultra 10122 is a next generation optically clear resin with ABS like properties and good temperature resistance. It produces colorless, functional, accurate parts that simulate acrylic in appearance. Based on the Oxetane Advantage™, the parts also have improved water resistance over the original WaterClear 10120 resin. WaterClear Ultra is a fast, low viscosity, general-purpose resin.

Somos 11122
WaterShed XC is a low viscosity liquid photopolymer that produces strong, tough, water-resistant, ABS-like parts. Most importantly parts created with WaterShed 11122 are nearly colorless, and look more like true, clear
engineered plastic. In addition, WaterShed XC has been formulated with
the DSM Somos Oxetane Advantage™— an advanced chemistry platform that produces parts with outstanding water resistance and high dimensional stability. -
Somos 18920
This high-temperature resistant, ABS-like photopolymer is used in solid imaging processes, like stereolithography, to build three-dimensional parts. Somos ProtoGen18920 provides considerable processing latitude and is ideal for the medical, electronic, aerospace and automotive markets that demand accurate RTV patterns, durable concept models, highly accurate and humidity &temperature resistant parts.

Somos DMX-SL™ 100
DSM Somos® DMX-SL 100 is an extremely durable SL resin that produces very accurate parts with high feature detail. Based on a whole new chemistry platform that gives the material high impact resistance similar to thermoplastics, it is a breakthrough in Stereolithography resin technology. Tough, complex parts can be built with a superb surface finish compared with competing technologies.

RenShape® SL 7820
RenShape® SL 7820 stereolithography material is a white, low viscosity stable liquid that produces strong black models and prototypes with good surface finish and detail, an ABS-like appearance. The product is also well suited for building RTV patterns.

RenShape® SL 7811 stereolithography material is a white, low viscosity stable liquid that produces strong white models and prototypes with good surface finish and detail, an ABS-like appearance. The product is also well suited for building RTV patterns. Parts built with SL 7811 exhibit durability over time beyond six months.
